Euroskeptic sentiments and concerns over immigration resonated strongly, influencing electoral outcomes across Europe.<\/div>\n<\/footer>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row margin-bottom-15\">\n<div class=\"width70 padding-right-15\">\n<div id=\"infographicDescriptionLong\" class=\"article__contentText responsiveText responsiveText--underlinedLinks\">\n<p>According to preliminary figures released by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/study\/146228\/european-parliament-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Parliament<\/a> on Monday morning, the European People&#8217;s Party, representing center-right interests including parties like Les R\u00e9publicains in France and the Christian Democratic Union in Germany, is poised to maintain its majority in Parliament with 185 seats, an increase of 9 seats from the previous term. The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, anchored by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz&#8217;s party, remains the second-largest group with 137 seats.<\/p>\n<p>Our infographic illustrates the election results, highlighting significant developments such as Renew Europe&#8217;s loss of 22 seats, attributed partly to voter dissatisfaction within Germany&#8217;s &#8220;Ampel&#8221; coalition.
