YouGov, in collaboration with the SINUS Institute, surveyed Germans about their attitude towards the Euros being held in their own country. Topics such as Germany’s favorite role, security concerns, and the societal significance of the tournament were the focus.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A majority of Germans (56 percent) support hosting the European Championship in Germany, although only 28 percent believe in a repeat of the “summer fairy tale” of 2006.<\/p>\n

One-third (32 percent) of respondents are looking forward to UEFA EURO 2024, while 46 percent are indifferent and 11 percent reject the tournament.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One in five Germans believes in Germany winning the Euro<\/b><\/p>\n

21 percent of respondents are optimistic that the German national team will win the European Championship, while 7 percent expect an early exit.<\/p>\n
